Lifestyle Choices and Cellular Aging
Lifestyle Choices and Cellular Aging
Aging is inevitable; it happens to everybody. There’s no cure for aging, whether you live in uptown Charlotte, NC, a suburb or some remote area of Alaska, we will all age! Choose a life of bad health habits and your future will likely be filled with premature illness and disease or simply nonexistent. However, aging CAN be slowed, halted for a time, or even temporarily reversed. Controlling cellular aging is my primary role as a Health Promotion Scholar-Practitioner and chief objective of my Healthy Dynamic Living consulting firm.
The cell is ground zero in determining how we function as humans. The way in which our lifestyle choices and our genetics interact to influence cellular aging drives the aging process. It’s important to know, while cellular aging drives the aging we see and experience, it’s lifestyle, predominantly nutrition, that drives cellular aging. The unhealthy contaminants within food and the nutrient levels of food can play near equal roles in cellular health. The road to high-level wellness via healthy aging or its polar opposite—unhealthy aging leading to disease, disability, and premature death—begins with a choice. Choose productive longevity by optimizing your lifestyle to slow, halt for a time, or even temporarily reverse cellular aging. This choice, this lifestyle begins with clean eating and that is nutrient dense nutrition that can be achieved with grass fed beef and pasture raised pork and chicken as well as the removal of chemicals from your food. You also must remember that movement and exercise is an irreplaceable aspect of a healthy lifestyle.
Living a healthy lifestyle will only deprive you of poor health, lethargy, and fat. ~Jill Johnson
